Tapestry Technologies selected as a 2016 Freedom Award Semifinalist

CHAMBERSBURG, PA  4-1-2016- Tapestry Technologies has been selected by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) as a semifinalist for the 2016 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award (commonly referred to as the Freedom Award).   The Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the Department of Defense to employers for their support of the National Guard and Reserve members. ESGR organizes the annual award program, on behalf of the Secretary of Defense, and has presented the honor to 220 employers since 1996.   It is an honor for ESGR to recognize Tapestry as a semifinalist for the Freedom Award, said Tapestry Technologies CEO, Jacquie Sipes. The selfless sacrifices members of the Guard and Reserve and their families make in service to our nation is unprecedented. We are grateful for their contributions in the civilian workforce, and remain steadfast in accommodating their commitment to our country through military service.   This year ESGR received 2,424 nominations for employers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam-CNMI, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  The 30 finalists are expected to be announced in April, with the 15 recipients being announced in late June.   Each year, the awards are presented to employers in three categories large (500 or more employees), small (fewer than 500 employees), and public sector.
